Christmas Time

White glistening streets wrapped in red, green and gold,
Crumbling pastries with a fresh steamy brew
Houses dress seasonal with ample decor
Chestnuts roast on the embers of fires

Ice glazed paths encrust the sidewalks
Casual whiffs of traditional Christmas dinner, hinders visions of health
Carolers glow in candle light within the evening sky

Father Christmas jingles his sleigh bells
Gifts sheathed in ribbon, fall swiftly through chimneys and doors
Rudolph kicks once and they gallop away
His nose gleaming rosy in the snowy, wintery night
