Cozy Autumnal Nights

Crisp leaves,
Give way under pounding feet,
Lush greens,
Replaced by orange hues.

Glowing fires,
Cast shadows,
Candle light beams,
In the darkness.

Light strumming of acoustics,
Playing a soft melody,
Crackling of charred embers,
Sizzle through the air.

The warmth indoors,
Contrasting the lonesome streets,
Toasty by the fire,
Against bitter chill.

Bundled in blankets,
Heated tea warming frigid hands,
Aromas of cinnamon and chai,
Fill every breath.

Summer has left,
Its memories fading,
Autumn has arrived in its place,
To create new ones.
